Cenit College staff can create and manage Zoom meetings directly within Moodle. There is no need to log in to the Zoom Admin website. Everything can be done from inside the Moodle course. This integration helps keep teaching and learning in one place and reduces extra steps for both tutors and learners.


Benefits of the Zoom Moodle integration

  • Tutors can start Zoom meetings directly from Moodle.
  • Learners can join Zoom meetings from within their Moodle course.
  • Scheduled meetings automatically appear in the Moodle calendar and the Upcoming Events block.
  • Zoom cloud recordings are automatically added to Moodle once the meeting ends.

Important considerations before creating a meeting

  • The Moodle user who hosts the meeting must have an active Zoom licence.
  • The person who creates the Zoom meeting is assigned as the host.
  • If a programme coordinator is creating a Zoom meeting on behalf of a tutor, they must be logged in as the tutor. If this is not done, the coordinator will become the meeting host instead.
